**Some of what you will do**:
The Organizational Development Consultant positively impacts organizational change through building strong partnerships across all business units. They demonstrate exceptional communication, project management, judgement, and critical thinking abilities. The OD Consultant will enable strategy through the analysis, design, development, execution, and measurement of organizational development and effectiveness programs.

Key areas of responsibility include Talent Strategy, Change Management, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Succession Planning, the overall employee life cycle as well as Staples’ employer brand presence on social media.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality execution of the overall Organizational Development strategies. Identify, surface and resolve challenges in key strategies through the analysis of feedback and metrics.
- Create business cases, recommendations and propose options to enable a purpose driven culture through our most important assets - our people.
- Conduct analysis to assess and diagnose organizational issues, ensure alignment of business goals with organizational design and develop and recommend solutions.
- Track and measure effectiveness of various OD programs, systems, tools and procedures and make recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities; while balancing cost/benefit and return on investment for all proposed solution offerings.
- Execute OD programs such as new hire orientation, core competencies and capabilities, annual employee engagement survey and supporting programs, Staples’ high-performance framework, and high potential program.
- Track projects using project plans and communicate with stakeholders to ensure milestones are achieved as agreed.
- Map out Talent Management and Employer Brand solutions to create excitement, retention and meet organizational strategies.
- Partner to create and execute initiatives to enhance Staples’ employer brand presence on social media, drive traffic to career opportunities, and promote a positive experience with our employer brand.
- Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve the employee life cycle, employer brand and employee retention through employee engagement data, focus groups, interviews, analytics, reporting, and feedback trends.
- Generate solutions to enable a robust network referral culture.
- Contribute to overall HR dashboard through generation and analysis of Employer Brand and Talent Management reporting and organizational key performance indicators.
- Partner to create and execute initiatives to drive traffic to career opportunities and promote a positive experience with the Staples Employer brand.
- In partnership with the Senior Manager, Organizational Development, research, source and/or develop tools or programs that assist leaders and associates in building and sustaining a highly engaged workforce.
- Execute the annual employee engagement survey and supporting programs.
- Execute Staples’ high-performance framework (e.g., year-end performance reviews, goal setting, ongoing check-in meetings, etc.).
- Develop and execute a high potential program, succession planning & manage associated assessment tools.
- Partner with L&D, HR Business Partners and leaders to identify core competencies and capabilities to achieve organizational goals.
- Work with Senior Manager, OD and other stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Communications and HR Business Partners) to plan and execute effective change management strategies, including communication, when launching major projects.

**Some of what you need**:

- Post-Secondary education in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
- 5-7 years of progressive combined experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of current Organizational Development principles, practices and tools.
- Knowledge of change management theories, methodologies and
