The Region of Peel’s Human Resources division is seeking an Organizational Development and Learning Specialist who shares our passion for supporting an engaged, resilient and skilled workforce.

**_The Role_**_:_**

Reporting to the Advisor, Organizational Development and Learning, you will actively support the design, development and implementation of a corporate-wide training program.

You will assume responsibility for programs and initiatives in support of our Inclusive Organizational Development and Leadership Competency Development frameworks. These programs support our focus on developing inclusive, quality leaders in the Region of Peel.

What you will do_**_: _**
- Assist in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of large-scale organizational leadership competency development and learning frameworks.
- Provide expertise in the prioritization of leadership development for the organization and contribute to the organization’s direction for leadership development using employee input, best practice research and organizational priorities as a guide.
- Use curriculum design expertise to expertly guide design and development of virtual, asynchronous online and instructor-led leadership learning modules and associated knowledge checks, job aids and supporting documentation.
- Analyze content, purpose and learning objectives for diverse projects and use best practice research to recommend the most appropriate curriculum design and delivery methodology and tools (e.g., instructor-led, virtual learning, e-learning, social learning, on the job learning supports/tools).
- Act as a key representative for consultation on corporate-wide learning initiatives, prioritizing and maintaining a portfolio of learning projects to support the organization.
- Provide expert interpretation of training requirements, timing and approach for legislated, compliance and mandatory employee training using research of best practice and leveraging organizational development and learning networks.
- Develop scope of work and liaise with Purchasing to procure training.
- Review and evaluate external training resources and make decisions regarding vendor choices in order to ensure the quality and effectiveness of training offered and optimize the spending of budgeted training dollars.
- Liaise with external agencies, municipalities and other organizations to identify opportunities for partnership.

**_ What the role requires_**_:_**
- Educational Background/Must Haves/Bonafide Job Requirements_:_
- University degree in Adult Education, Human Resources or equivalent education; with 5 years progressive experience in organizational development and learning, and training delivery role or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced experience with design, development, implementation and administration of new leadership learning programs and initiatives.
- Advanced curriculum design experience with ability to design and develop instructor led, virtual and asynchronous e-learning as well as tools, templates, and presentations that support overall leadership development programs and initiatives.
- Experience with planning and managing multiple leadership development programs and initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience conducting in-person and virtual live facilitation and training for organizational leaders and employees.
- Proven knowledge of leadership, organizational development, and adult learning best practices and innovative approaches.
- Demonstrated experience conducting needs assessments and client consultations.
- Demonstrated experience using e-Learning authoring software (e.g., Articulate Rise)
- Strong working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

- Knowledge of program evaluation methods to develop performance measures and report on program outcomes
- Experience with Learning Management Systems
- Experience creating and facilitating team effectiveness programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying training needs, developing solutions, and logically organizing complex information
- Awareness of various psychometric and team effectiveness tools (e.g., DISC, Strengths Finder)
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and stakeholders
