**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with management to create menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems (such as Micros POS) for order processing and cash handling as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or restaurant management.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Previous experience in customer service roles with a focus on hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers alike.
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
