We’re looking for a fierce and friendly cook to join our diverse & vibrant team and become part of the ATCO family. ATCO Energy operates two lines of business comprising its Energy and Home Services division and the Blue Flame Kitchen. We like to call ourselves the A-Team

This role is for the Blue Flame Kitchen. Days and hours are business dependent, but the hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 6am - 1am.

Reporting to the Chef Supervisor, the baker will be responsible for delighting our guests with made-from-scratch baking and working on our kitchen production line. Our goal is to make every customer experience memorable and keep them coming back for more. We offer competitive wages of $20-22 hourly rate plus benefits (ABC)

**On a daily basis, you’ll**:

- Prepare, bake and execute meals in our kitchen
- Organize baking for daily catering orders
- Coordinate with catering team & FOH staff members
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager
- Ensure proper storage of food inventory and equipment according to AHS standard
- Wash /sanitize equipment according to AHS guidelines
- Package and label products for sales and shipping
- Track operational output measures (yield, quality, temperatures, etc.)
- Adjust production plans according to business levels
- Maintain personal hygiene and wellness
- Be responsible for closing and opening duties within the kitchen team
- Comply with food and sanitation regulation and safety standards

**What you’re great at**:

- Preparing baking items on a large scale, following standard recipes and procedures
- Taste testing and quality assurance
- Ensuring food consistency
- Organizing daily baking for Catering and Café

**What you have**:

- 3-5 years’ baking experience in a production environment.
- Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Baking & culinary experience would be considered an asset
- Ability to perform duties quickly and under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior
- High school diploma required; Culinary school diploma preferred
