Learning & Development Coordinator

At Volker Stevin, our Learning & Development Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing our training and development priorities to support safety, people, and performance across the organization. **How You’ll Add Value**
- Coordinate and support delivery of in-house programs, external programs, virtual and field-based training to ensure seamless logistics, scheduling and resource preparation
- Monitor and report on training compliance, regulatory requirements, and skill gaps; prepare and distribute reports for audits, proposals, and leadership needs
- Monitor Alberta Government grant programs, assess eligibility, and develop organization-wide plans on how funding applies to us, the next steps, and how to implement opportunities that align with business priorities
- Navigate training requests by researching programs that best meet identified needs, providing informed recommendations to the business, and collaborating with curation teams and learning partners to deliver needs-based training
- Support the team with internal communications and ongoing updates to the business.
- Work closely with the business partners to provide support in managing their workload and advancing shared learning initiatives
- Build strong relationships with operations, safety, and corporate teams to anticipate learning needs, recommend training solutions, and enhance adoption of training programs
- Serve as the first point of contact for training requests, ensuring responsive, solution-focused support

**What You Bring**
- 2+ years’ experience coordinating training programs, with a focus on scheduling, logistics, optimizing learning systems, and generating actionable insights through reporting
- Demonstrated track record of proactively identifying needs, crafting innovative solutions, and driving projects to successful completion with mínimal supervision
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze data, assess options, and make sound recommendations
- Working knowledge of ADP Essential Learning is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline) considered assets
