** EE Specification Salesperson** in the Greater Toronto Area. In this position, you would be a key part of all Lutron Systems driving demand to our Lighting Controls and working with the rest of the Specification team; helping to drive business. You will educate Electrical Engineers and others on Lutron product benefits and our world-class customer support services.
**Responsibilities**:
- A successful EE Specifications Salesperson will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop new customer relationships and business opportunities
- Close lighting controls and window systems projects through technical expertise and a high level of customer service
- Surround project specifications thru effective communication with team members, rep agents, Dealers and other specifying or end user influencers.
- Represent Lutron at Industry trade organizations and networking events
- Become a technical expert on Lutron products for our specification customers, end-users and trade partners
- Utilize Salesforce CRM tool to maintain customer and project information
- Stay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values
- Be passionate
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing markets
- Be an innovative thinker
- Be customer focused
- Be ethical
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (technical degree preferred)
- 3+ years Specification Sales or Specification experience
- Passion for Sales, working with design community and understand the construction sales cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical products, their benefits, and specify them
- Experience solving complex problems within a team environment
- Prior architectural, product, or lighting design experience preferred
- Must have the ability to collaborate with a team to close projects.
