**DAYCARE Bookkeeper**
The person selected for will assist with bookkeeping and accounting duties for Bayfair Daycare Inc.
**Qualifications**
The person selected for this position must have an accounting diploma at a minimum and have work experience doing accounting. Strong organizational and time management skills are a necessity as is the ability to work independently. The person must be currently in good standing with their professional association and be willing to have a Police Record Check done.
**Responsibilities**:
**Accounting**
- Maintain financial records for Child Care fees and receivables.
- Coordinate with Durham Region for Subsidy records, attendance and invoicing.
- Weekly invoice parents and coordinate fee receipts to manage accounts
- Pay and record all expenses
- Keep records for all accounting transactions
- Support auditors in collecting and providing reports/records/supporting documents during the auditing process
- Prepare parent tax receipts yearly
**Government Grants and Subsidies**
- Track and execute all government funding as required.
- Track and report all funding reconciling all income versus usage.
**Personnel & Payroll**
- Reconcile timesheets to ensure accuracy
- Maintain personnel records
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Process ROEs, T4s, as required.
**Administration**
- Work with Daycare Directors, Supervisors and/or Financial Controller

**Relationships**
- Maintain confidentiality of information discussed in the office as it relates to children, parents and staff.
**With parents**
- Maintain a good rapport with parents communicating concerns and needs.
**With staff**
- Provide staff with payroll and time reporting support.
**Other**
- Any other duties from time to time that may be requested
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
