**Job Title**: Inventory Control Specialist

**Reporting To**: Accounting Coordinator

**This role is responsible for facilitating inventory accuracy across the organization, not only in volume but also in valuation. This includes processing day-to-day inbound & outbound transactions accurately & timely, and taking a hands-on approach in collaborating with operations department, management, other internal stakeholders, and third-party stock locations, in managing inventory levels and assessing & resolving inventory issues**

**Company Description**:
The company operates a major terminal on a 53 acre property along the Hudson near Albany, NY with a liquid storage capacity of 38 million gallons and a 30,000 square foot warehouse for dry storage. The property boasts a deep water dock capable of handling ocean vessels year round and has a rail siding with capacity for 7 cars.

**Responsibilities**:- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of all Inventory functions including equipment program.
- Adherence to internal controls and company policies and procedures
- Completion of daily inventory activities on all companies.
- Ensure data integrity and item cost accuracy.
- Monitor & fill negative inventories daily for billings.
- Process & verify receipts of goods by obtaining the source document, reconcile with purchase order and match with AP invoice.
- Record location to location inventory transfers.
- Process inter company sales.
- Review production reports for accuracy and enter in the system in a timely manner.
- Coordinate when required, quarterly physical inventory counts and independent readings with Operations Managers.
- Perform inventory reconciliations weekly, monthly, quarterly, or as required
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and report discrepancies and variances.
- Make monthly, quarterly, and yearly adjustments as approved by Controller.
- Prepare & post weekly and monthly stock value reports.
- Communicate and liaise with Operations & Logistics, terminals, stockpiles, and warehouses.
- Manage inventory database, includes setting up new item codes, bill of materials & warehouse location.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining communication, coordination and working relationships with external personnel and inside team

**Education & Experience Requirements**:
- 2-3 years experience in accounting or inventory is required.
- Experience in Microsoft Business Central ERP is a strong asset.
- Accounting or supply chain certificate or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel,
- Data Base Management skills
- Knowledge of Accounting and Inventory processes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Details oriented and ability to work independently
- Strong communicator - ability to convey information and assist others
- Can work to deadline when faced with multiple ongoing projects
