Plant Controller – GCP Join to apply for the Plant Controller role at GCP. Responsibilities The Plant Controller ensures the financial statement integrity and internal controls of the Building Envelope lines of businesses. Main Responsibilities Active participation in Plant Staff meetings Involvement in and support of Plant Review meeting Lead Financial/Spend reviews with plant staff Identify and manage process improvement initiatives Identify issues and proactively initiate analysis (labor, material usage, spending…) Ad hoc analysis and reporting for plant and operations management Cost reduction monitoring, reporting, and results auditing (where applicable) Month-end Closing Inventory verification and control Prepare journal entries to be posted by SSC Analysis of financial results Account reconciliations Month-end Analysis and Reporting Prepare month end reports Prepare manufacturing variance analysis Location Financial Review including Building Envelope and Roofing businesses Analyze SG&A and investigate unusual charges Annual Operating Budget Analytically review and challenge the budget and all assumptions Coordinate and prepare budget presentation for BE and Roofing businesses Internal Controls & Compliance Coordinate and support annual Self-Assessment review Support IAS audit activities, coordinating plant responses and follow-up Other Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and maintain product standard costing Oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory Support capital expenditure appropriation request development Coordinate and support annual fixed asset desk review, tri-annual fixed asset audit Prepare and maintain product profitability analysis Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferable or equivalent, with complementary work experience Minimum 3 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization, emphasizing management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and GAAP Strong analytical skills to quickly grasp issues impacting the business’s financial results Strong IT aptitude for effective desktop reporting (paperless web-enabled environment), utilization of business warehouse tools, SAP and MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations Excellent communication and presentation skills Capable of leading a process team and defining clear vision, goals, and service standards Ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all levels of the location Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across business and functional organizations Demonstrated client service orientation Capacity to meet the needs of a complex, diverse, dynamic and fast‑paced organization, quickly addressing challenges while keeping GAAP & IFRS requirements in mind Work Location and Schedule Based at our Ajax Facility with ability to travel to California’s facility in the US On site 5 days a week Legal Statement Saint‑Gobain is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to applicants upon their request.
