Here's how a Translator for our Montreal office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assists with tracking and maintaining communication and assignments among all team members including external translation firms.
- Develop a medium term and long-term strategy in terms of translation needs and resources for our district.
- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
- Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords text to deliver an error-free, professional submission on time.
- Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure).

**Qualifications**:

- Postsecondary degree or diploma in translation or related field.
- Exceptional written and oral skills in English and French.
- 1 year or more of proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.
- Demonstrates effective project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, proofreading skills, good judgement, and ability to problem-solve.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with and influence a diverse group sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
