Tera-Byte is looking to fill one permanent full-time position in it's network
operations centre. We are a full service network consulting and hosting
provider, supporting wireless ISPs across Alberta, and our own in-house web
- hosting services. We are responsible for monitoring and supporting wireless
and fibre based networks with customer support available 24/7 to end users.
We have been in business for over 20 years and pride ourselves on customer
service.

**Job Duties**
- Answering phones for support of residential and business internet customers
including:

- Technical support
- Billing support
- Signup and ordering of new services
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing connection issues of customer services
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing network issues of wireless and fibre networks
- Clearly Document account changes and diagnostic steps taken

**Required Skills**:

- Windows 10/11
- Basic Linux and FreeBSD
- Basic IP networking
- Able to work 12 hour shift
- Able to lift 40Lbs (Racking hardware, servers, etc)
- Basic computer hardware understanding (replacing components, building new systems, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication

**Additional Skills**:

- Web development and troubleshooting skills such as PHP,HTML, JavaScript,
Python, etc
- Networking Skills, including L2/L3
- Knowledge of Ubiquiti, Cambium and Mikrotik hardware an asset
- Knowledge of VMware or other Virtualization platforms

**Schedule**:

- 12 hour shifts
- 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 day weekends alternating

**Work Location**:
Downtown Edmonton or hybrid remote depending on shift organization

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
