Connect Logistics Services Inc. located in St. Albert, is a third-party contractor that provides warehouse and distribution services of spirits, wine, import beer and cannabis throughout the province of Alberta on behalf of Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC) Commission. We are a member company of DHL Supply Chain (DSC), a division of DHL Group (DHL), the World’s Leading Mail and Logistics Company.
We are currently looking for an _**IT Project Manager**_ to join our team (predominantly Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).
Reporting to the IT Director, this role manages IT projects from original concept to implementation, overseeing all project components, defining scope, managing resources, and ensuring quality.
- **In this role**:_
- You’ll manage and direct IT projects, conceptualizing multi-platform solutions, creating project plans, ensuring successful execution and completion of substantial-scope projects
- You’ll represent IT proficiency in development and fostering constructive relationships with clients and business partners
- You’ll propose and refine project standards, policies, and procedure
- You’ll offer direction, motivation, training, and decision support to project staff
- Some of the technologies you will support are Microsoft SharePoint, SQL, Azure, IBM Power Systems (AS400), Zebra RF, Honeywell, Oracle JDEdwards, Manhattan WMi
- You’ll participate in the recruitment, training, and development of other IT Team members
- **Now, here’s what we need from you**:_
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical field
- Minimum 6-10 years in an IT environment
- Minimum 3-5 years Project Management with comprehensive knowledge in planning major projects, project proposals and project schedules
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) considered an asset
- Strong Information Technology knowledge, with expertise in IT principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proven experience in various project management aspects: integration, scope, time, cost, quality human resources, risk, procurement, and communications
- Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain marketplace
- Demonstrated communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent capacity for organizing, scheduling, and developing action plans
- Working knowledge of as many of the above listed technologies we listed in the role responsibilities
- Ability to build trust and maintain a productive environment
