About the Opportunity

Our client, a reputable employee-owned general contractor known for delivering high-quality commercial and multi-family builds across Western Canada, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in St. Albert.

This is a high-impact opportunity to manage projects ranging from $5M to $50M, including multi-family developments up to 6+ storeys and 400 units.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead all phases of complex commercial and multi-family ground-up construction projects from planning through close-out
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, scopes, and overall execution
• Coordinate and mentor subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure design and construction alignment
• Participate in high-level strategy meetings and contribute to project planning initiatives
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a strong safety-first culture
• Manage projects within both public and private sector environments
• Support design-build, pre-engineered buildings, public tender calls, and prequalification submissions

What You Bring

• Minimum 4+ years of Project Management experience in ground-up commercial, multi-family, or institutional construction
• Note: Tenant improvement-only backgrounds will not be considered
• Education: CET required; P.Eng welcomed
• Strong technical understanding of:
• Building envelopes
• Pre-engineered buildings
• Design-build projects
• Public tender processes
• Software proficiency in:
• Procore
• AutoCAD, Revit
• Microsoft Office
• Experience working with project values from $5M–$50M
• A detail-oriented, analytical, and introverted thinker who communicates clearly and collaborates effectively
• Mentorship-focused leadership style
• Experience with mid-sized general contractors is highly preferred
• Federal Top Secret Security Clearance is an asset

Additional Details

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (In-Office)
• Travel: Site visits across Alberta and BC
• Vacation: 2–3 weeks depending on experience
