**Position**:Environmental Project Manager/Project Coordinator

Nor-Alta Environmental Services is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager or Environmental Project Coordinator to join our team based out of Edmonton, Alberta. The successful applicants will be responsible for managing a portfolio of work, with responsibilities including project planning, resource allocation, technical review, staff supervision, budgeting, and conflict resolution.

**An overview of this role includes**:

- Define the scope of individual projects and determine timelines, deliverables, etc.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance
- Actively promote health and safety expectations which, at a minimum, meet client requirements
- Provide technical expertise to field staff through the duration of projects
- Provide mentorship to junior staff
- Liaise with Senior Management and other Project Managers to ensure integrity of work
- Communicate with clients
- Interpret laboratory results and determine applicable criteria, regulations and guidelines
- Review of technical reports, ticketing and deliverables related to the project
- Participate in business development and the maintenance of client relationships

**Required Experience**
- Minimum of 3 years of environmental consulting experience with some experience in a project planning or coordinating role.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge associated with reclamation and remediation
- Minimum requirement of a diploma or degree in sciences, environmental studies, etc.
- Eligibility with an applicable professional society or institution (ASPB, AIA, APEGA, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong working knowledge of computers and relevant software (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of industry standard technology (GIS, Digital Imagery, etc.).
- Willing to travel as required
- A Class 5 Driver’s license is required.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience through previous work or school.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $1.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
