The **HR/Scheduler** position is responsible for providing a range of supports in the effective development and delivery of Human Resources operations, under the direction of the CEO. The **HR/Scheduler **is responsible for analyzing HR data and handling a wide variety of departmental issues, including staffing, employee relations, compensation, labor relations, safety, affirmative action, and personnel research. The individual must be knowledgeable of the relevant Alberta legislative standards related to employment. It is crucial that confidentiality standards are maintained.
**HR Responsibilities Include**:
- Support as a point of contact for any employee relations issues/concerns including but not limited to workplace conflict resolution, discipline, and attendance management.
- Lead/assist in investigating and resolving HR issues. Investigate, manage and mitigate potential risk with employee disciplinary-related issues.
- Oversee and manage all employee personal information in HRIS including payroll, employee requests, employee files and other employee-related communication.
- Prepare documents based on existing templates, related to recruitment, contracts, leaves of absence, along with other day-to-day employee-related issues.
**Scheduling Responsibilities Include**:
- Continuously communicate with clients to ensure schedules are accurately set.
- Develop, maintain, and modify the master schedule to optimize the efficiency of staff and ensure client requirements are met
- Use scheduling software HomeBase, effectively to fulfill shifts
- Be the main point of contact for staff regarding their schedules
- Resolve or escalate scheduling concerns as needed
- Other miscellaneous scheduling tasks
**Role Details**
This will be a permanent part-time opportunity. Total of 25-30 hours per week.
- Minimum three (3) years of scheduling experience in the HR/Scheduling
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Operations Management or a related discipline (a certificate in Office Administration may also be considered)
- Knowledge of scheduling processes and procedures
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and/or phone calls
- Follow up appropriately on the clock in/out of employees
- Show respect for clients by maintaining the confidentiality
- Create and accurately maintain schedules for employees in line the availability of the workforce
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with others
- Build and maintain professional relationships with employees and clients
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent analytical abilities & attention to detail
- Be able to remain calm in stressful situations
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Possess a Police Information Check; including a Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 3 months)
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
