**Job Summary**: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team and ensure the smooth and accurate processing of payroll and HR-related tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Review and verify employee hours, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations, including regular, overtime, holiday, and vacation pay.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Process year-end tax filings, such as T4s and other required forms.
- Ensure timely submission of all necessary payroll taxes and deductions.
- Liaise with external parties such as CRA and payroll service providers.
- Onboard new employees, including preparing employment forms, PPE, lock & lockers, and benefits enrollment.
- Support employee performance management processes, including tracking time attendance, administering performance reviews, tracking goal progress, and providing HR-related advice to managers and employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the company payroll system, including personal information, employment history, and training records.
- Manage group benefits administration, including new enrollment, claim resolutions, reconciling monthly bills, and managing special employee benefits claims.
- Track the use and reimbursement of PPE (safety shoes, uniforms).
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company standards.
- Provide HR support related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in payroll administration and HR support.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and HR functions.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, benefits administration, and compensation practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Speaking Spanish will be an asset.
- Experience with ADP and Ceridian will be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
