**The Company**

FMP Group LP is a Partnership with Fort McKay Group of Companies and Phoenix Industrial Group of Companies. FMP Group LP Is a double-breasted company with a unionized division of PIM Construction Inc.

**The Position**

Under the direction of the Specialty Services Manager, the **Leak Repair Field Specialist **is responsible for supporting operations within an assigned region, and is accountable for the effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling, production, and evaluating all leak repair operations of the Mechanical Services Division of FMP Group. The incumbent is to conduct all activities in a manner that supports the missions, vision, and values of FMP Group LP.

This is a union position and a safety-sensitive position that requires completion of pre-employment/pre-access testing.

**Key Attributes**

**Key Responsibilities **_(including but not limited to):_
- Provide clear expectations to the Service Line, to ensure the delivery of support and services to the client operations.
- Perform leak repair operations that may include pipe freezing, composite wrapping, pipe crimping, drill/tap, wire and band, clamp and enclosure.
- Perform work on live active leaks in difficult environments, which may include at heights or in tight spaces. Assists in documenting all field service activities.
- Ability to perform high levels of leak repair operations, experienced with measuring all components of piping systems.
- Assess leaking component(s) and report findings to the Field Service Manager.
- Work in collaboration with the HSE Manager to ensure adherence to FMP Group Safety programs and policies, as well as the Safety policies of our clients.
- Organize and lead efforts to investigate, identify, and implement solutions related to process issues, customer quality issues, process improvements, productivity issues, and any other variances within the scope of work or position.
- Maintains strong relationships with the client, contractors, suppliers, to ensure the client needs are met and to secure future business opportunities.
- Mentors, guides, and coaches other specialists/technicians to ensure adherence to established processes, provide support and assistance to direct reports as required.
- Review and monitor daily/weekly operations documentation and reports, to ensure that company, client, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Assist HSE with all matters pertaining to Safety, as well as Human Resources with all matters related to conducting interviews, discipline, hiring, termination.
- Participate in Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) as part of the daily operations, make recommendations and adjustments as needed.
- Work with ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association) and submit documentation for CRN (Canadian Registration Numbers).

**Education & Experience**
- Completion of a High School Diploma (or a GED equivalent)
- At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry with troubleshooting and maintenance experience within large and dynamic operations; must have experience in all aspects of leak sealing and leak repair systems and processes
- Knowledge of ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association) compliance
- Knowledge in MS Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
- _Post-secondary diploma, PMP, or a trade background in leak sealing is an asset_

**Other Requirements**
- A valid Class 5 License (or equivalent)
- Satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training Systems) and CSO/BSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- PPE required (CSA approved steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, and reflective vest)
- Experience working with SABA (Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus) or SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus)
- _Fall Protection and or Confined Space are an asset_

**Working Conditions**
- Overtime is occasionally required to meet deadlines or due to emergencies or backlog
- Work environment may involve some exposures to hazards and/or physical risks which requires basic safety precautions: lifting up to 50 lbs; working in confined or open areas, around vehicular traffic, or around various heavy equipment; yard area may have uneven ground, occasional obstacles, or hidden hazards that require attention at all times; working at heights with varying elevations while wearing sufficient fall protection
