The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course of YOUTH IN DIFFICULTY (351-335-LA).
The focus of this course is on the intervention with youth (0 to 18 years) in their natural or substitute environment. Students explore various psychological, familial and social situations that can lead to socio-emotional maladjustment. They learn to adapt and/or to design intervention plans to help clients develop social skills, responsibility and self-esteem. Students begin exploring ways of working in collaboration with families and other professionals.
**Required Qualifications**:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience.
Teaching experience in special care counselling or a related program such as counselling, social work, or clinical psychology is an asset.
Experience working with youth in the special care counselling field is strongly recommended.
This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.
**Comments**:
All classes are given in-person from the college campus. The hired instructor must have the ability to teach a course online/at a distance.
