**Scope of Position**:
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team as a Marketing Specialist in our Fulton Creek location. You will work with a multifunctional team of creative, marketing, sales team and developers, to execute marketing programs, design requests, promotions, events and other activities to support Vallen initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**General Marketing**:

- Coordinate and track supplier invoicing, payments, and CoOp marketing budgets for Vallen suppliers, facilitating cooperative marketing programs and supporting effective budget management through strong organization and cross-functional communication.
- Coordinate approval, ordering, and production of Vallen merchandise, interface with vendor as needed.
- Organize, update, and maintain marketing collateral, including one-sheets, sales presentations, marketing recaps, programming calendars, etc.
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining landing pages, web content and digital assets for Vallen.ca to support campaigns and key initiatives.
- Responsible for planning and executing regional events, as needed by Market leaders.
- Assist with the coordination of Vallen events/tradeshows with stakeholders (Suppliers, Vallen Associates, and Event Organizers) and ensure successful execution of all aspects of the events.
- Support marketing team in daily administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, asset management/archiving, premium order fulfillment/inventory maintenance, general spreadsheet upkeep, etc.
- Coordinate with other departments on the creation and maintenance of marketing and sales materials
- Coordinate and Manage our online promotional item store for our sales team.
- Ship/Order marketing/event materials for our 24 branches across Canada.

**Sales Support**:

- Partner with sales leaders to understand industry needs, align on priorities, and deliver customized marketing programs and campaigns for sales growth.
- Support product information management projects.
- Organize, update, and maintain our sales enablement platform.
- Be a reliable Sales support resource to manage, develop and distribute marketing collateral.
- Assist with the creation and execution of field sales marketing requests.
- Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations.
- Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections.
- Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses.
- Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements.
- Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks.
- Other duties as required.

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of applicable experience. Applicable experience should include:

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat) is an asset
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and other members of marketing and sales teams; work cross-functionally with all other departments as needed
- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a very fast paced environment.
