Job Overview:
Black Tar is seeking an experienced Grade & Base Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from residential to commercial paving. You will lead and manage a team to efficiently complete scheduled paving projects while maintaining quality standards and ensuring safety on job sites. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and grow with the company.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Grade projects based on grade plans and specifications.
- Operate skid steer safely and responsibly.
- Ensure proper grades on various job sites.
- Ensure all job sites are left clean upon completion of the job site’s preparation.
- Ensure regular maintenance is conducted on machinery used.
- Clean equipment regularly.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Safely load and unload heavy machinery.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Ensure equipment is safely secured on trucks.
- Read locates to avoid damaging any utilities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- 2 Years of Skid-Steer operating experience is a must.
- 2- years of Grading experience is a must
- Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
- Ability to work outdoors in different types of weather conditions.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to perform any laboring task and any other tasks as required.
- Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s license with clean abstract is an advantage.
- The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, and strong organizational and time management. skills to work in a fast-paced environment with a quality focus
- Good physical condition - job involves heavy lifting, repetitive bending, kneeling, crouching, and working long hours.
- Proof of legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Able to speak and understand English fluently.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.

**Salary**: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
