Purchasing Coordinator Assistant

_Nella Toronto is looking to hire an experienced Purchasing Coordinator Assistant with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment for our North York head office._
**Responsibilities**:
- Purchase equipment, parts, warehouse/office supplies and services;
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtain approval from management.
- Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications;
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolve any shipments in error with suppliers.
- Authorize payment with accounting for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems;
- Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitor and expedite orders.
- Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to appropriate individuals in a timely manner;
- Communicates in a timely fashion, all information regarding products lead time, pricing, order status, etc. to appropriate individuals within the company;
- Ensure master data of item is accurate and correct prices are up to date
- Comply with the company’s policies and procedures;
- Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Completion of post-secondary program with a focus in business administration, purchasing, supply chain, or related field
- Previous Purchasing experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of an organization
- High degree of professionalism, with sense of urgency and dedicated customer service abilities
- Highly attentive to detail with strong clerical and organizational skills
- Supply management skills.
- Able to develop and maintain vendor relationships.
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access)
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
