**BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE**
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Coordinator’s function is to source and buy supplies as well as materials. They will successfully manage vendors with the goal of increasing inventory turns and sourcing high quality products at the best price, delivered on time and complete.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Evaluate and source existing and new vendors for materials, equipment, supplies and service.
- Negotiate pricing for materials and supplies.
- Manage entire supply chain cycle from Purchase order to receipt.
- Develop and manage vendor score cards for performance and reviews.
- Preparation and coordination of all aspects of the bidding process for RF’s (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for information, Request for Quote).
- Ensures that sufficient inventory levels are maintained for all items and that PO’s are in accordance with supplier lead times and customer requirements
- Work closely with sales departments to ensure proper communication and planning of material supply.
- Collaborate with internal customers and provide high level of customer service, including recommended solutions, resources and alternative supply options.
- Communicate supplier issues, performance concerns and non-compliance concerns to all relevant parties
- Performs and coordinates various administrative/ad-hoc duties for the Management team when required
