Payroll & HR Coordinator

Under the responsibility of the Regional Controller, while maintaining a functional link with the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent of this position must ensure the realization of all activities related to the weekly production of the payroll of unionized employees. He or she must provide the necessary support for the implementation of the activities of the human resources department, such as benefits, staffing, training and OHS.
Pay
- Perform daily monitoring of time cards using the time and attendance software;
- Carry out the necessary modifications requested by the various supervisors and keep a record of said modifications;
- Weekly, check with the help of supervisors the accuracy of time cards and transfer information into the payroll software;
- Make any necessary changes related to an employee's file in order to produce a payroll that complies with the employment contract (bonus management, change of classification, change of status, etc.)
- Answer employee questions.
- Carry out usage checks on the various payroll reports
- Actively participate in the completion of the payroll system transition (PDA).
- Produce T4 and Relevé 1 and any other necessary documents on an annual basis;
- Monthly reconciliations of various government and other remittances;
- Prepare requisitions for the payment of deductions and other social charges
- Perform the reconciliation of G/L accounts under his/her responsibility;
- Complete Records of Employment upon termination of an employee;
- Maintain the seniority list;
- Maintain a record of vacation, floating holiday and other banks
Attendance file management:
- Produce the information necessary for managers to follow up on absenteeism. Communicates any abnormal situation to the HRD;
- Maintain an up-to-date database of all absences and tardiness in order to produce a monthly report on absenteeism;
Benefits Management:
- Manage the relationship between employees and our group insurance provider to ensure effective management of claims (memberships, etc.)
Management of health and safety activities
- Maintain all the documentation essential to the proper follow-up of accident files, statistics, reports, etc.;
- Ensuring that identification badges are issued for our staff;
- Manage claims at the CNESST in conjunction with the HRD
- Act as Secretary for the OHS Committee
Management of labour movements:
- Maintain the seniority list;
- Carry out job postings and their follow-ups in conjunction with the HRD;
- Maintain a register of vacation, floating leave, absence banks.
- Carry out the recruitment process for day labourers (reference taking, hiring, integration)
