**Position Summary**:
The Senior Manager, Health Infrastructure Quality & Standards provides leadership, support and consultative services to develop and improve new and existing health infrastructure, programs and tools. Provides support to project teams and regions in the implementation and improvement of systems, standards, and processes to ensure consistency of FNHA health infrastructure programs and capabilities from one facility to the next.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. **Responsibilities**:
- Participates as a senior member of the FNHA health infrastructure team by leading the FNHA health infrastructure quality and standards program.
- Provides technical support to Construction Project Managers and Facilities Technicians during the feasibility, design and construction phases, as required.
- Attends all substantive completion and 1 year follow-up assessments to ensure all completed infrastructure meets all building code and applicable safety and quality standards.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of FNHA health infrastructure design guidelines, including the review of Health Canada guidelines, CSA Standards and program requirements. Draft and finalize a guideline that can be distributed to consultants, Program leads and communities as a resource for capital planning and construction.
- Provides advice and assistance to FNHA and First Nations organizations on health infrastructure planning, construction, assessment, maintenance, repair and upgrade projects across British Columbia, as needed;
- Develops, implements and audits the FNHA health infrastructure project management practice to promote consistency, team learning and quality across the construction and maintenance portfolio.
- Develops and implements a master maintenance plan program for all health infrastructure in BC First Nation communities.
- Develops and implements feasibility study standards through boiler plate guides to be used by consultants and communities.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Master of architecture or architecture technologist certificate, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
**Occupational Certification**
- Trade or Project management professional certificates an asset.
- Valid BC Driver’s License
**Experience**
- 10 years’ experience in architecture.
**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:

- Basic knowledge of First Nations traditions, culture and social issues.
- Knowledge of the theories, techniques, and practices of building trades and computer controlled systems.
- Knowledge of inspection methods.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of construction and system maintenance.
- Knowledge of the principles of drawings, specification and schematics.
- Knowledge of data retrieval and manipulation techniques.
- Knowledge of technical terminology used in service and operation manuals.
- Knowledge in conflict resolution.
