Parks - Temporary Workers (20 Positions)
4 Month Terms
April 28, 2025 up to September 1, 2025
Applications must be received no later than Friday January 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
The City of St. Thomas hires temporary workers for the summer season to assist with the maintenance of parkland throughout St. Thomas.
**Parks Division tasks may include**:
- horticulture maintenance
- turf maintenance
- sports field maintenance
- park facility maintenance
- other duties as assigned
**Hours of Work**:
- 80 hours over a two week period
- weekends, evenings, and early morning schedules
- shifts covering seven days per week
**Qualifications**:
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license with a minimum class G2.
- Education and/or experience with maintenance of baseball/sports fields and horticulture is considered an asset.
**2024 Rate of Pay**: $17.60 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. This is a CUPE Local 35 union position.
**Please note**: Starting date in this position is Monday April 28, 2025.
