Parks - Temporary Workers - Watering Shift (2 Positions)
4 Month Terms
April 28, 2025 up to September 13, 2025

The City of St. Thomas hires temporary workers for the summer season to assist with the maintenance of parkland throughout St. Thomas.
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license with a minimum class G2.
- Commencing approximately June 9, 2025, watering shifts will be every other day including weekends and holidays 4:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. as required - additional day shifts will be added over the two week schedule to accumulate 80 hours per pay period.
- The fill in day shifts can be flexible however the scheduled watering shifts cannot fluctuate.
- The watering shifts are required until the second week in September.
**Qualifications**:
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license with a minimum class G2.
- Education and/or experience with maintenance of baseball/sports fields and horticulture is considered an asset.
**2024 Rate of Pay**: $17.60 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. This is a CUPE Local 35 union position.
