**RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Human Resources manager is expected to work under little to no supervision.
- Manage all internal and external HR related matters.
- Develops policies and directs human resources activities.
- Manage 20-100 employees.
- Implement and execute full hiring cycle of new staff and rehiring cycle of former staff.
- Conducting full hiring cycle of selecting, interviewing, recruiting, onboarding and training staff.
- Work with staffing agencies and sub-contractors for temporary staff.
- Writing and distributing layoff notices to staff as well as the rehire process.
- Handle employee termination and disciplinary process.
- Track and report staffing levels to Management team.
- Filling end of employment reports and termination notices.
- Oversee clearance process for new staff when required.
- Manage vacation and leave requests.
- Post and maintain job listings to fill vacancies.
- Continuous hiring of new staff throughout the seasons.
- Scheduling and overseeing the employee review process.
- Work with Health and Safety regarding training and ongoing training of new and current staff.
- Spearhead the Health and Safety initiatives on the JHSC to ensure that employee reps are doing all required to keep the company in line with government requirements and the highest levels of Health and Safety for the wellbeing of all employees.
- Monitor and maintain staff records (scheduling, anniversaries, birthdays).
- Manage Clintar’s employee referral program.
- Organize staff functions.
- Participate in career fairs, open houses and other talent attraction initiatives.
- Mange recognition program and employee of the month program.
- Maintain morale among field staff and promote teamwork by improving company culture.
- Oversee and be chair of the employee committee.
- Organize, schedule, recruit, record minutes, forward needed information along.
- Update and implement the Clintar Human Resources files and policies.
- Evaluate quality of service based on supervisor reports for new employees and adjust as needed (training, meetings, etc.)
- Act as a liaison between employees and management.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with employees for HR purposes and management.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Partial social media upkeep.
- Creation of advertisement posters.
- Analyzes wage and salary reports.
- Administer department inventory (i.e. uniforms).
- Manage payroll requests from employees and relay any concerns to payroll.
- Support Management team in ensuring consistency and fairness are met at all levels of compliance.
- Occasional travel is required to visit sites and other offices by company vehicle or compensation.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, but some evenings and weekends during the winter may require you to be on-call for any inquiries or issues.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- Human resources diploma from a college and Minimum 1-year experience in a related field.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

Operations:

- Knowledge in operational effectiveness and management.
- Knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Information technology skills.
- Knowledge of the Landscape industry would be an asset.

Language Skills:

- Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, customers and the general public.
- Bilingual would be an asset.

Regulations:

- Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Great organization and conflict management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
