**Position Title**: HR Assistant

**Status**: Student Employee (Contract until March 2025)

**Hours**: up to 24 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**: People(s) and Culture

**Campus/Location**: Hybrid (remote and on-campus)

**Salary**: $16.96 per hour

**About the **HR Assistant **Role**:

- Under the direction of the Manager, Employee Engagement and Learning and OE Support, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential support for Humber’s Organizational Effectiveness team. The incumbent will provide support in areas such as HR Support, Employee Engagement & Learning programs and events, and administrative support to HR activities. As an administrative support position, the HR Assistant will also liaise with key players within the Organizational Effectiveness team, while maintaining relationships and internal communications with other departments across the College.

**Education** & Experience**The incumbent will have one year of experience working within a Human Resources department. In addition, the incumbent will have:

- Strong understanding of HR processes and functions;
- Superior customer service skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and priorities;
- Understanding of Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles
- Strong understanding of training and client services and best practices
- Ability to problem solve and exercise good judgement
- A proven track record of meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism;
- Detail-orientated and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently;
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, perform as a strong team player, and
- Strong time management/organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
