- About this role_
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team at our Vancouver-based office OSF Head Office provides accounting services, operations support and administrative assistance for our restaurants.
The Accounting Clerk will work as a part of the Accounting team to complete full-cycle accounting each financial period for restaurant locations, to perform payroll processing and to prepare internal reports for management use. The position reports to the Controller and indirectly to the Executive team.
- Main responsibilities_
- Process accounts payable (invoice entry to payment generation) using Sage Accpac ERP
- Reconcile all methods of payments and confirm POS generated sales information
- Provide administrative support to restaurant locations regarding cash reconciliation, payroll matters, account receivables follow-up and guest inquiries
- Process payroll and maintain employment records for employees across the chain
- Generate various reports including inventory usage reports using inventory control program
- Assist with financial close procedures by preparing and posting journal entries
- Maintain recordkeeping of invoices, compliance files and other documents
- Answer phones and direct general inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Support team members to achieve objectives and to meet deadlines for the Accounting team
- Perform other ad-hoc duties when requested (producing additional reports, compiling and organizing data, researching information for projects)

The position starts with entry level training and is meant to develop into an intermediate level role.
