As we grow, we’re looking for a self-motivated and creative **Advertising Sales & Social Media Representative** to help expand our advertiser base **and manage our online presence**.
**Position Overview**:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for **advertising sales** and **social media management**. You'll earn **$20/hour** for your time, plus **commission on all advertising sales** — combining a steady income with the opportunity to earn more as you grow our advertiser base.
This role is ideal for someone who loves engaging with the local business community, is confident using social media, and can work independently.
**Overview**
**Duties: Sales;**
- Identify and target potential clients through research and networking to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct presentations and meetings with clients to understand their advertising needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close sales effectively while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage existing accounts by maintaining strong relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials that effectively communicate the value of our advertising services.
**Social Media Management;**
- Manage _Valley Vibe_’s social media platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram)
- Create and schedule engaging posts that align with the magazine’s content and voice
- Promote featured articles, advertisers, and upcoming issues
- Engage with local followers and respond to messages/comments in a timely manner
- Monitor basic performance metrics and provide feedback on what’s working
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in sales, advertising, marketing, or media is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
- Familiarity with the local business landscape is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
