We are a fast-paced, multi-physician clinic committed to providing high-quality care in both public and private healthcare settings. Our collaborative and supportive team is seeking a full-time **Medical Office Assistant (MOA)** to join our practice under one physician.

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage physician’s calendar for surgical and office appointments
- Greet and check in patients; confirm and update demographics using Plexia EMR
- Process patient payments (via Square, Moneris, etc.)
- Triage and schedule referrals based on urgency and type
- Prepare surgical booking packages for hospitals and private facilities
- Liaise with surgical reps and suppliers
- Perform minor bookkeeping tasks
- Maintain general office cleanliness and supply organization

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Friendly, empathetic, and respectful with excellent interpersonal communication
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems (Plexia preferred)
- Understanding of health information privacy regulations
- Conflict management skills and a calm, professional demeanor
**Qualifications**:
- **MOA Certificate** (required)
- Experience in a private clinic or surgical booking is an asset but not required - training provided
- Familiarity with Plexia EMR, Square, and Moneris is an advantage
**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience (preferred)**:
- Medical/Clinic Reception: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year
**Licence/Certification**:
- MOA Certificate (required)
