**Events Assistant**

We are currently looking for a driven and passionate Event Assistant who is interested in assisting our events department at Reid’s Distillery. Reporting under the Events Manager, the individual will be responsible for taking the initiative to execute events and internal programming, and generating new event sales. You’ll look to continually generate new business opportunities and to maximize revenue while ensuring the needs of our clientele.

**Responsibilities**
- Understand requirements and details of each event
- Plan and organize, with attention to financial and time constraints
- Work with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Meet with clients and management, and coordinate with them regularly
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot with professionalism and pride
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team
- Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize events
- Define Reid’s Distillery company brand through all events and programs
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 + years in Event business, customer service and hospitality an asset
- Proficient in Google Suite, Tock, and QuickBooks an asset
- Resourceful and intuitive self-starter
- Extremely proactive, with an energetic and professional demeanor
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Independent judgement, absolute discretion and diplomacy
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Confident, dedicated and punctual

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
