Technical Lead, Cloud & Platform Career Opportunity

**As the Technical Lead, Cloud & Platform you will**:
Initiate project deliverables (estimates, schedules, risk assessments, etc.) as an SME and a project team member by ensuring financial budgets align with infrastructure project costs.

Design and develop processes and procedures for IOS to function in clearly defined actions during Infrastructure incidents and in day-to-day operations.

Act as a point of escalation for critical incidents and actively seek opportunities to reduce and call out risks, providing guidance and mentorship to our Infrastructure Delivery team and stakeholders.

Direct the team during incidents to ensure the organization gets business back up and running quickly while ensuring the safeguarding of organizational assets.

Reinforce the team during business and after hours for all cloud and platform incidents as an SME.

Enhance the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Delivery department focusing on the technologies within the realm and the operationalization of processes and procedures based on the ITIL framework and best practices.

Confirms the delivery of customer-centric and effective cloud and platform support services to our organization that achieve service-level agreements (SLAs).

Plan business and technology projects, changes, and enhancements to ensure an effective support transition to the Infrastructure Technology Delivery teams.

Collaborate with business and technology partners to inform trends, remove roadblocks, and contribute to prioritizing, planning for, and implementing improvements that optimize our customer’s experience. Supervise the design and ensure continuous improvement of the infrastructure delivery change process and procedures

Work closely with the IOS Security team to implement controls and provide operations support for security tools.

Work to continuously improve SLA and KPI metrics by understanding the impact of their own and the team’s performance.

Evaluate fiscal planning for cloud and platform Technology by providing the necessary research, information, and recommendations

Respond to monitoring events generated by various Cloud and platform ecosystem technologies.

Educate cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the organization as an IOS leader.

Advise the Manager, Infrastructure & Operations, and VP, IOS, on cloud and platform infrastructure systems news, trends, and best practices.

Knowledge and understanding of ITIL framework certification is an asset.

Microsoft/Azure Certifications will be considered an asset.

2-5 years of knowledge and experience in cloud and platform.

1-3 years implementing end-to-end cloud and platform solutions.

3+ years of Information Technology experience with desktop and network technologies.

Degree in Computer Science or applied experience with certifications

1-3 years with a continuous educational commitment to the development of leadership practices.

Experience using alerting and monitoring and/or other similar tools and experience with cloud and platform technology in an enterprise operation.

Experience with financial management and budget.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Broad knowledge of industry-based technologies (Cloud and SAN storage, Hypervisors, Cloud Infrastructure).

Excellent communication, presentation, project management, coaching and problem-solving skills.

Willing and able to be on-call 24/7, as required and willing and able to work a flexible schedule which may include irregular hours.

Passport and ability to travel in North America. Single and multiple days with overnights.

A Criminal Record Check may be required.
