**Events & Market Coordinator**

The Events & Farmer’s Markets coordinator will support the manager in a dynamic environment with a focus on sales, team building, team support, customer service, entrepreneurship, as well as building and growing a successful business. You will be working with the entire team towards a common goal and ensuring food and labour costs meet targeted budgets and goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrating outstanding leadership in managing the team, events and the overall Mad Mexican experience and supporting the Events and Market Manager.
- Assist the manager with strategies to increase sales by 25% over previous year.
- Assist the manager and Brand Ambassadors to reduce wastage and keep returns to under 10%.
- Provide weekly in depth and accurate sales reporting to manager with improvement strategies.
- Help build a team full of A players - Brand Ambassadors, that are engaged, knowledgeable and are sales driven.
- Complete weekly cash reconciliation and audit report and Brand Ambassador evaluations.
- Ensure all Markets are staffed, scheduled and executed to Operations standards.
- On going communications and updates with your team and other department members.
- On going training, coaching and mentoring your team to perform at a high targeted level.
- Provide logístical support and communications with all venues to ensure venue compliance.
- Travel will be required for this position to provide on-site support for the various teams at different events and markets.
- Proactively support all aspects of the events and markets resolving any challenges and logistics issues that may occur.
- Responsible for the esthetics and overall theme/feel of the event booths/market locations.
- A detail-oriented individual will thrive in the fast paced environment.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of proven experience as an Events Coordinator or in Farmer’s Markets, Catering or similar role.
- Post secondary education in Events Management
- Food Handler Certificate is required.
- Driver’s License and a car is an asset.
