**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a Bilingual Social Media Strategist based at our North York office reporting into the Head of Marketing. This position leads the day to day development and execution of social media strategies including community engagement, content strategy, reporting and analysis. To lead, inspire, develop, challenge and coordinate social media efforts across key brands including Nescafe and Häagen-Dazs. This person is responsible for developing long and short term social strategies to effectively advertise to consumers, build social communities and cultivate brand love.
**A day in the life of a Social Media Strategist**:
- Be our social ambassador for brands like Nescafe, Häagen-Dazs, and Coffee-Mate, by creating and delivering professional and engaging social content that drives brand social media equity, positive share of voice and consumer engagement opportunities online - in English (and French as required)
- Support and execute the social community strategy and direction working closely with brand marketing teams to understand our brand(s) objectives and consumer insights
- Create and execute new ways to deliver messaging through compelling social media content.
- Serve as the lead content creator and social voice for our brand(s) by developing organic campaigns on a daily basis that really add value.
- Tweet, comment, snap, Instagram and more Responding and engaging with influencers, consumers and fans, working with our internal Consumer Engagement Team (CES) and internal stakeholders to execute our content flawlessly.
- Provide regularly reporting on content and engagement effectiveness, providing recommendations on optimizations and new opportunities
- Identify, engage and nurture brand advocates and influencers.
- Understand the changing consumer landscape and champion the social consumer, providing recommendations and thought-leadership to the wider business, particularly our Brand owners, Digital and eCommerce teams
- Support the proactive management of observed emerging issues, working with our Corporate Communications and CES teams to drive, shape and protect our brands and reputation.
- Work cross-functionally to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine the most impactful content.
**What will make you successful**:
- Social media professional who has a strong academic background, ideally Bachelors Degree within a creative field or Marketing.
- 3+ years’ experience within social media required
- Experience on client side/CPG/ agency is a plus
- Community Management experience very important, with ability to triage and identify issues and opps quickly and effectively
- Excellent writing skills, with copywriting experience a must
- Creative and Design skills - with depth in the Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) considered a huge asset
- Strong understanding of key social platforms (Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc. including backend, publishing and analytics across each platform
- Passion and enthusiasm for social media and a thirst for learning
- Ability to provide and communicate results to management and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required Accuracy & Organization & Prioritization
- Strong project and budget management skills preferred
- Capable of multi-tasking and working within a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint
- Experience with Social Studio, Sprinklr or other Social Media Management Tools
