The **Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation** is a not-for-profit public agency of the Government of
Alberta that guarantees deposits and provides risk-based regulatory oversight to enable a safe and sound
credit union system in Alberta. Our primary roles include:

- Providing a 100% guarantee of deposits held with Alberta credit unions
- Regulating credit unions and enforcing the Credit Union Act
- Revising, advising and directing credit unions on sound business practices
- Monitoring credit union performance and implementing appropriate actions to improve
- performance and reduce risks- Establishing individual credit union loan approval limits and providing an appropriate adjudication

process for loans that exceed these limits

We invite qualified applicants to consider joining our team, as a Temporary Procurement Specialist for up
to 12 months with the possibility of an extension.

This position reports to the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Planning, Analytics & Regulatory Practices
(PARP) and is primarily responsible for the administration and support of project-related procurement
plans and processes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Refine identified business and technical requirements and translate those into preparation of

solicitation documents such as Request for Proposal (RFP) / Negotiated Request for Proposal
(NRFP) / Request for Quotation (RFQ) / Request for Information (RFI) as required.
- Support development of a strategy for procurement preparation based upon project goals and

criteria.
- Identify any sub-projects where separate RFPs may be required to acquire specific vendor

services.
- Assist in providing RFP interpretations to vendors by developing written responses to questions.
- Prepare RFPs selection methodologies, evaluation plans, evaluation criteria, mandatory
- evaluation schedules, and final award recommendations.- Review vendor proposals for quality, accuracy and adherence to required standards.
- Creation of supporting project documentation as per the guidelines of the Government of Alberta
- procurement policy.- Assist in planning and scheduling bidders’ vendor presentations including agenda development
- for those activities.- Assist in debriefing unsuccessful vendors.
- Assist in finalizing contracts with recommended vendors.
- Conduct post procurement reviews.
- Prepare evaluation reports and procurement recommendations for reviews and signoffs.
- Plan, coordinate, and prepare controlling documentation for procurement plans and processes.
- Develop effective communications processes to ensure adequate project progress and issue

reporting to all participants and stakeholders.

**Temporary Procurement Specialist
- Plan and coordinate procurement activit ies including business technical requirements and
- contracting options.- Additional procurement related responsibilities as required by the AVP PARP or Project Lead.

**THE PERSON**
- A requirement for relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, business,

and/or other relevant fields.
- Completion of Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) and associated certificates are an

asset.
- Minimum 5 year's work experience in procurement.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in independently performing activities related to
developing and releasing RFP, NFRP, RFQ, RFI, negotiations, evaluation, supplier
feedback, and contract execution.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, organizational skills and ability to prioritize work / tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced working experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to show initiative and exercise sound business judgement.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members,
- management, and vendors.- Knowledge of trade agreements, Financial Administration Act, FOIP, Public works Act.
