Production Supervisor

**Job Summary**: The Production Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role involves starting shifts and assigning work, recording run rates and being accountable for hitting targets, and facilitating communication between the production, sales and other teams.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Record Run Rates**: Accurately record and monitor production run rates to ensure targets are met.
- **Accountability**: Take responsibility for achieving and maintaining production run rates, addressing any issues that may arise.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain records of inventory movement and work in progress.
- **Start Shifts**: Coordinate and manage the start of production shifts, ensuring all team members are prepared and informed.
- **Production Scheduling**: Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- **Team Coordination**: Work closely with production staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- **Interdepartmental Communication**: Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the production and sales teams to meet scheduled ship dates.
- **Problem-Solving**: Identify and resolve any production-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all production activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- **Skills**: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of Spire Systems or ERPs an asset.
- **Attributes**: Punctual with an excellent attendance record, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
**Hours**:
- Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm
- overtime as required
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
