**Job Terms**:

- Position: Human Resources Assistant
- Location: 1980 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6N 0A3 ( Stock Yards Village )

**Position Description**:
The Human Resources Assistant assists with the administration of the day-to-day of the human resources functions and duties. He/She carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employment, payroll processing, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, workplace health & safety and office administration.

**Job Duties**:

- Recruiting and staffing logistics.
- Performance management and improvement tracking systems.
- Employee orientation, development, and training logistics and record keeping.
- Employee relations (e.g. handling employee concerns/complaints);
- Joint Health & Safety Committee facilitation and participation;
- Company employee communications;
- Managing Payroll and benefits administration and record keeping;
- Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting; and
- Employee services (e.g. coordinating employee events, uniform, ID cards, etc.);
- Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system;
- Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office
- Other duties as required.

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- **Must be Bi-lingual, proficient in writing and speaking in both English and Mandarin.**:

- **Related HR education or equivalent required. University graduates preferred.**:

- **3+ years’ experience in administrative or clerical position required. Previous HR experience not a must, but preferred.**:

- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and strong adherence to the practice of business ethics.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work efficiently, in an organized manner and with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Good judgement with tactics in response to emergencies with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards and Labour Law.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $36,000.00 per year
