**is hiring for the following position(s)**:
TEMPORARY WORKERS (Roads)
Temporary Duration (Approx. November 14/25 - March 15/26)
Four (4) Positions
Job Posting #1082-07-25
Under the general direction and technical guidance of the Supervisor of Roads & Traffic, or designate, performs a variety of jobs related to:
- Sidewalk plowing;
- Snow shoveling;
- Snow plowing;
- Road patrol (road inspections);
- Debris cleanup;
- Park maintenance;
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence (minimum Class G);
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
**Assets**:
- Understanding of road weather and able to recognize fundamental atmospheric and pavement conditions and accurately report changing conditions to the on call Supervisor;
- A class ‘D’ with ‘Z’ endorsement;
- Ability to drive in inclement weather conditions.
**Remuneration**: $17.60 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay. This is a CUPE Local 35 Unionized Position.
