Coordinator of Community Engagement

Overview: The position has responsibility for the overall management of program development, implementation, and evaluation of multiple areas, including:
- Learning Services,
- Mental Health and Well-being Education.
- Volunteer Services.
- Grief Support Services.
- Care Giver Connections.
Building strong relationships with community organizations and other key stakeholders
reviews their effectiveness, and nurtures them for continued growth.
The Coordinator of Community Engagement is the senior person in this area.
Responsible for financial and human resource management, contributing to the implementation of the agency’s strategic plan.
Academic and Licensed Qualifications
- University Degree in a related field (e.g. Social Science, Business, etc.)
- Current registration with a professional body (as appropriate)
- Crisis Intervention Support Worker, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
- Certifications and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) (preferred)
- Certified Crisis Worker designation (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory position
- Experience an agency that serves people experiencing current and post-trauma events
- Experience developing relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Project management experience and/or certification Skills/Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of crisis intervention
- Demonstrated experience dealing with volunteerism
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently and operate effectively in a complex multi-program environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, strategic goal setting, and vision for achieving the organization's overall objectives.
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to situations with astuteness and composure
- Demonstrated abilities in project management, financial management, program delivery, and evaluation.
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Databases
Occasional evening and weekend
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
