**Job Summary**:
The successful individual will have experience as an HR generalist and be versed in leading edge HR practices within a corporate environment. This individual will work in a team setting to enhance the organization’s HR delivery with a focus on quality, timeliness, collaboration, communication, and providing positive solutions to difficult problems facing the business. This position involves leading full cycle recruitment, employee relations issues, HR annual cycle management, rolling out programs/initiatives and providing general HR business support.
**Responsibilities**:
- Recruitment_
- Prepares job postings
- Participates in interviews and the selection process
- Prepares employment offers and new hire orientation packages for review and approval.
- Coordinates with new employees and hiring managers on the onboarding process, and assist in new hire orientation including compilation all compliance documents
- HR transactions and employee relations_
- Serves as the main point of contact for all HR inquiries, including matters of recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits
- Manages and advises on highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters (performance improvement, discipline, terminations, etc.).
- Prepares documents, employment agreements, offer letters, employment letters, employee communications and internal announcements.
- Provides support to ongoing and new HR projects/initiatives as needed.
- Supports data collection for HR metrics and HR reports as requested, and generates reports as needed
- Supports the corporate finance team with payroll matters as needed
- Assists in benefit plan processes, supporting employees enrollments with the insurance broker
- Researches and collaborates to develop, and implement company policies and employee handbook
- Coordinates and facilitates employee learning and development programs
- Administers and supports the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning
- Conducts termination procedures, including arranging exit interviews, and collection of all equipment and termination documents.
- HRIS Maintenance_
- Assists with the vetting and implementation of new HRIS as needed
- Provides analytical and technical support related to HR systems
- Inputs data and maintains the integrity of employee information entered in HRIS
- Assists in the digitalization of employee records
- Maintains employee electronic files and hardcopy files. Maintains document management structure and ensures ongoing organization of documentation.

- Provides support for and participates in the delivery of company/team events as needed.
- Supports Health and Safety initiatives
- Assists with minor clerical work and manages office supplies inventory as needed
**Qualifications**
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Relevant education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP designation an asset
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and relationship management skills
- Confident communicator, able to effectively interact at all levels of the organization
- Sound knowledge of HR management fundamentals, principles and concepts
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude providing an ability to deal with challenging situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong sense of business ethics and personal integrity
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms and HRIS
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
