We’re currently on the lookout for a **Human Resources Generalist **as a vital part of our growth. In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring smooth operation of our human resources processes. You’ll collaborate closely with our Senior HR consultant and other team members to deliver high-quality HR services and contribute to our company’s success. This position will be in Scarborough Ontario and requires daily onsite presence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Recruitment and Onboarding**:

- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork completion and orientation sessions.

**2. Employee Relations**:

- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Assist with employee investigations, and conflict resolution as needed.
- Contribute to fostering a positive work culture through engagement initiatives and team-building activities.

**3. HR Administration**:

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Handle HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and policy updates.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

**4. Training and Development**:

- Coordinate training programs and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Support the performance management process by assisting with goal setting, feedback collection, and performance reviews.

**5. Compliance and Policy Adherence**:

- Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

**6. HR Projects and Initiatives**:

- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliver results.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience working in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Knowledge of HR legislation, Health & Safety legislation, and Employment Law (e.g. terminations, new hires, leaves of absence, WSIB)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build employee relationships at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive attitude and attention to detail.
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Once acquired and trained in the role, the employee must be able to make decisions with efficient risk assessment.
