ASL Agrodrain Limited is hiring a **Health and Safety Officer.**

This position is field based from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with office visits and extra hours as required. A well-equipped vehicle is supplied for work purposes. Competitive salary based on experience.

**Major responsibilities but not limited to the following**:

- Conduct employee on-boarding safety orientations with all new employees, as well as annual WHMIS training for staff
- Complete regular jobsite inspections and provide compliance reports to management and field supervisors
- Monitor and manage all incoming paperwork and maintain internal database of incident and training records
- Manage return to work cases in their entirety
- Act as a liaison between ASL and governing bodies regulating health and safety, as well as complete necessary reports
- Maintain health and safety boards and required postings on ASL worksites
- Respond, investigate and follow-up on all workplace incidents.

**Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:

- Post-Secondary Education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field would be considered an asset
- 3+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role in a construction setting
- Safety certification training (e.g., CRSP, GSC, NCSO) is considered a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation / communication skills
