**Job Title: Human Resource Co-Op/Intern**

**Job Summary**:
The Human Resources Projects Co-op/Intern is responsible for performing assigned HR projects related to the operations of the Human Resources department and works closely with the Human Resources team across all sites.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the creation, standardization and maintenance of job descriptions and job postings for all sites.
- Assist in the launch and execution of the Learning Management System
- Assist in maintenance of Recruitment and Onboarding systems.
- May assist with employee onboarding, training and development programs.
- May assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt personnel.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as employee appreciation or employee recognition.
- Maintain employee files and records and assist the Human Resources team with the HRIS transition and integration of employee files to electronic format.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Working towards Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or related; current MBA student preferred.
- Research proficiency in Canadian and US employment laws and regulations.
- Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency.
- Must be able to handle sensitive issues with tact and maintain strict confidentiality of private information; commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels.
**Work Environment**:
- Hours of work may vary depending on business needs
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; includes vision capabilities to work at a computer for prolonged periods
- Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/scanners, and filing cabinets
- The position may involve lifting up to 20-pounds occasionally
