The City of Swift Current is inviting applicants for the position of Museum Education Coordinator within the Community Services Division. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the General Manager of Cultural and Aquatic Services.

This position is responsible for the development, promotion and delivery of Museum tours and programs to schools, community groups and other interested parties. Other responsibilities include assisting gift shop sales, admissions, registrations and visitor statistics as well as providing support for the reception desk.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Completion of Grade 12 and previous experience working with children and adults;
- Experience in developing, promoting, and delivering engaging educational programs and tours for schools and community groups;
- Experience with grant writing and follow up;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with staff, community groups, children, media and the public;
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and take initiative in meeting community needs;
- Ability to work independently and within a team, and with all levels of staff, management, and community partners;
- Willingness to become Safe Places - Youth Certified; and
- Must possess excellent organizational, public relations, written and oral communication skills.

**Desired Qualities**:

- Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor of Education degree and classroom experience;
- Experience in developing interactive museum programs; and
- Knowledge of Xplore Recreation (PerfectMind) computer systems.

The salary range for this position is $2,197.90 to $2,674.53 bi-weekly in accordance with City of Swift Current CUPE Local 183 Collective Agreement.
