**Position Overview**

We are hiring a **Community Liaison Worker** as part of the **Canada Summer Jobs program**. This role is an excellent opportunity for a youth interested in community work, social services, or public engagement to gain practical, hands-on experience in a community-based setting. Under the supervision of our Outreach Coordinator, the Community Liaison Worker will help connect isolated or underrepresented seniors with our programs and services, raise awareness in the broader community, and support events that promote inclusion, wellness, and social engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with outreach initiatives targeting senior residences, multicultural groups, and local organizations
- Create and distribute printed and digital materials to promote programs and events
- Attend community events, resource fairs, and presentations as a representative of the centre
- Engage with seniors and community partners, helping to explain our services and programs
- Collect and organize feedback, sign-up sheets, and contact follow-ups
- Help coordinate multicultural, intergenerational, and educational events
- Track engagement data and summarize outreach outcomes for internal reporting
- Collaborate with other staff and interns to identify barriers seniors may face in accessing services

**Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs Program)**

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

- Be between **15 and 30 years of age** at the start of employment
- Be a **Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee status**:

- Be legally entitled to work in Alberta
- This position is open to **students and youth looking to gain professional experience**

**Preferred Qualities**
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and open to working with diverse seniors
- Comfortable speaking to individuals and small groups
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Willing to work in a collaborative, team-based setting

**Work Environment & Supervision**

You will be supervised on-site by the Outreach Coordinator and supported by a close-knit, friendly staff team. Formal check-ins will be scheduled weekly, and you will receive ongoing mentorship, job-specific training, and opportunities to reflect on your learning and contributions.
