We train Canada's next generation of scientific leaders in foundational knowledge, professional skills, and unique interdisciplinary programs. **Responsibilities**: **Key Responsibilities**: **Faculty Relations & Finance Support**: - Assists the Associate Dean, Staff/Faculty Relations with calendar management and may support the administration of faculty appointments, processes under the collective agreement and related documentation. - Support financial processes including form completion, expense tracking, and budget coordination. - Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with institutional policies. - Liaise with internal departments to facilitate smooth administrative operations. **Front-Line & Administrative Support**: - Provide courteous and professional front-line service to visitors, faculty, and staff as needed to support the efficient flow of the office - Maintain organized filing and tracking systems and manage records in accordance with university standards. - Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and general office duties. **Qualifications**: **Education**: - Community College Diploma in an administrative field. **Experience**: - Minimum of 4 years of experience providing customer service in a business office setting. **Skills, Abilities & Expertise**: - Knowledge of general office procedures and records management systems. - Strong communication skills and ability to establish effective routines with team members. - Professional, respectful, and diplomatic interpersonal skills. - Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Positive, outgoing attitude with a strong customer service orientation. - Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assignments. - Familiarity with university policies and procedures is preferred. - Clear written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to various audiences. - Commitment to delivering helpful and reliable service to the university community. **Why Western?**: **Background Checks**: Verification of educational qualifications may be required Consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications.
