SA Energy Group is a General Partnership between Robert B. Somerville and Aecon Utilities, a division of Aecon Construction Group. SA Energy Group provides mainline pipeline construction services to the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. We have a strong project backlog and our successes are well documented having constructed over 1000 km of large diameter pipeline over the past 8 years.
**Purpose of the Position**
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of technical requirements and field coordination for a designated project.
**Status of the Position**
This is a temporary, full-time position. The work schedule will be 6 days on (Monday - Saturday) and 1 day off (Sunday), 12 hours per day. The employment term shall be dependent on the duration of the current project and future project workload.
**Location**
The position will be based out of SA Energy Group’s Project Offices in camp, located northeast of Prince George, BC.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist Project Management Team and providing Technical Support to foremen.
- Work collaboratively with SA Energy Group’s Management and Project Team to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Track Daily Project Construction Progress and prepare Daily Progress Reports.
- Provide support to Project Change Management and Cost Control process.
- Perform field progress verification, field data collection, and other field duties as required.
- Prepare Project Engineering Documents and Work Plans.
- Communicate and coordinate with SA Energy Group client’s Engineering teams on all project technical matters.
- Coordination with foremen on implementation of engineering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all project technical commitments.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on project matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- 0-5 years of construction experience in pipeline, heavy civil, or forestry construction.
- A combination of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Construction or Engineering is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as team member and team leader.
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive results from internal and external stakeholders.
**Physical Demands Analysis**
- Ability to work 6 days on 1 day off schedule.
- Remote work locations.
- Temporary relocation as required.
- Extended work hours as required.
