HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation.Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC offer abundant outdoor experiences.Reporting to the Project Lead, the Execution Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the assembly and commissioning activities for mobile mining equipment assembly and the HVC haul truck rebuild program, including supervision of all contractors at the project site, located at Teck''s Highland Valley Copper mine. By supporting the safe and efficient execution of the project scopes, the Coordinator will help Teck deliver on a strategy of cost effective and sustainable mining equipment solutions.To be successful, we require a motivated self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal and coordination skills, who can build positive relationships and support a hard-working team. Whether it''s biking and skiing, or the laid-back atmosphere of fishing and hiking, there is something for everyone Working a 7 days on 7 days off shift, with some travel required to Calgary.ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.Keep track of and report on any project related incidents to the Project Lead and team. Engage site EHS team to investigate incidents and identify lessons learned.Develop and maintain a detailed execution plan and schedule for the execution of time-sensitive work affecting asset downtime. Report daily to program leadership and site stakeholders on progress and risks to this plan.Identify and proactively address any issues relating to project execution as needed. Escalate to the Project Lead in a timely manner as appropriate.Supervise multiple contractors and vendors and manage the rebuild site to ensure work is conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope and schedule.Complete quality assurance checks in line with the Quality Management PlanOversee the handling of parts, materials, and equipment at the construction site and track/document activities within Maximo (Teck''s CMMS of choice).Coordinate the efforts, schedule and reporting of contractors.Assist with site tasks to support site personnel and ensure the effective execution of workUndertake daily loss tracking and barriers reporting to identify any gaps and enable planning optimization on future projects.QualificationsHigh School Diploma, with preference given to those with a trade certificate, or relevant degree or diploma.Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.Demonstrated ability to coordinate contractors and vendors in a large-scale industrial or mining environmentExperience working in heavy industrial maintenance or fabrication facilitiesSolid technical background working with mobile mining equipmentMaximo experience is an asset.Supervisory experience in a mechanical/electrical capacity, or project execution is an assetTrade experience with mobile mining equipment, particularly with haul trucks, is an assetMines Supervisor license is an asset.Experience in Project controls, specifically scheduling, is an assetA valid class 5 or equivalent driver''s license is required.Pay RangeThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate''s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.Working ConditionsLocation: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role.
