Administrative Assistant

In the newly created role of Administrative Assistant with Strauss event & association management you will report to an Association Manager to provide association support with the following: board meeting minute taking, association member services, communications and coordination, database management, membership dues and invoice processing, conference and event support, committee interaction, and general administrative support. This is an in office, part-time role of 15-20 hours per week.

**Role Accountabilities**:
▪ Prepare board pre-meeting folder, including; financials, board meeting minutes;
▪ Answer telephones, refer inquiries, process and sort incoming mail, welcome visitors;
▪ Prepare mail merges for various mailouts and event name badges;
▪ Reconcile data and double check reporting for various projects;
▪ Provide event support to Association Manager, and Association Coordinator;
▪ Support Association Manager with general administrative tasks as assigned; and
▪ Ensure client records are filed in compliance with Strauss’s records retention policy.
**Desired Skills & Experience**:
▪ Combination of education and related experience
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and Outlook;
▪ Excellent customer service skills, coupled with friendly and effective communication;
▪ Proven effective organizational and prioritization skills;
▪ Strong attention to detail;
▪ Motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn; and
▪ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Status**:Part-Time; 15-20 hours per week
